Berber carpet repair has become a major problem for carpet installers in terms of installing and therefore Berber carpet repair is imminent.
This is because when Berber carpet is cut to make seams or to wrap around a post or even if there might be a fibre just sticking up out of the carpet ever so slightly, there could be an issue with mainly zippering or unravelling of the row that the berber was machine woven into.

The vacuum cleaner that is supposed to maintain your carpet is a major culprit because of the power heads that have hard plastic brushes that grab and pick at the loose fibres and eventually “zip”, your berber carpet is now in need of a berber carpet repair and what can be done to avoid this ? Not too much unfortunately. Berber carpets inherently are not very forgiving and so you have to make some careful decisions on whether this might be a good idea to purchase berber carpet in the first place. My advice is stay away from berber style carpets because they are not performing as far as I am concerned and within a few short months they are showing wear in the traffic areas and it’s seems that nobody is talking about this and carpet stores are still selling berber style carpets for main areas in the home because they might look great if you don’t walk on them! Not a good reason. The alternative is to find a good hard twist and some styling from colour instead or salt and pepper effects can add style also and bring dimension to your home.
